Birmingham City Council was in desperate need of new fencing. The existing timber Knee Rail fencing was in a poor condition and rotten and had fallen into disrepair.

The key functions of replacing it with Bow top fencing was to contain the area and separate it from the surroundings and give the location a maintenance free aesthetically pleasing boundary fence.

The previous timber Knee Rail fencing had fallen victim to age, and this made it unsafe and unfit for purpose.

New fencing was therefore needed to replace the deteriorating timber Knee Rail fencing that had resulted in the grassed area becoming an unsafe and unwelcoming environment for the residents.
